I first visited the Dog & Partridge Pub when I was just a few weeks old in 1985. My Mum and Dad explained that the sun was shining and they sat in the beer garden where they introduced me to the ducks that live in the pond.
Whilst growing up we would often visit the pub and have lunch, especially during the school holidays when my Mum would treat me to a Ploughman's, my favourite!!
For my 18th Birthday, my Mum and Dad surprised me with a meal in the pub's restaurant with all my family. It was a lovely evening with great British food.
More recently my family and I had a meal in the restaurant for my Dad's birthday; the food was fantastic with everyone enjoying their meals. To give you an idea of the food that evening, my family had grilled peppers stuffed with a gorgeous flavored couscous, lamb shank, duck, and veal all served with individual flavored gravy. Meals were served with a selection of hot vegetables and chips.
During the day, when the sun is shining the beer garden is packed with couples young and old, families and friends enjoying the surroundings, children playing and watching the ducks.
In the evening, the pubs restaurant is turned into a stylish restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and fantastic staff serving.
I would definitely recommend this pub for a drink, lunch, an evening meal with the comfort of enjoying the day or evening with family or friends.
